I haven't posted to Thursday Challenge in a coon's age, but it would be very un-Vancouver of me if I couldn't find something for 'wet.'

P.S. Krista pointed out to me that some people might find the term 'coon's age' offensive (i.e. not realizing it refers to raccoons). Here is her link on the etymology of the phrase:

Eeek, this expression "in a coons age" makes me uncomfortable... I tried to look it up to explain why, but this weas the best I could find,

Just wanted you to know, some people find it offensive.

Sorry, in my haste, I forgot to mention, that I really do like that picture. The pinks and oranges in it really jump out, making the wetness seem jovial, rather than a downer.

Wow -- I always thought it meant a raccoon's age or even a coonhound. I had no idea there were some politically incorrect connotations. Well, I'm not a big fan of political correctness for political correctness' sake, it was made in innocence (I kind of enjoyed excavating a long-forgotten phrase) and the article says it means raccoons, so I'm going to err on the side of the positive.

I think you need to volunteer to accept reader's photographs (of whatever they like) and turn them into art.

This is a marvelous pic! The brightness, the color - I wish all rainy days were so beautiful! Ours tend toward blue-greys, with the emphasis on grey.
