I checked out Summer Splendor on-line and it looks like a nice show with a variety of artists and media- congratulations on being an international artist (again). Best of luck!
Beautiful pieces Andrea and I enjoyed reading your posts. I decided not to post as much in the summer so i could catch up on some much overdue home repairs etc and I noticed that most people are out and about not blogging as much so I feel like you do I don't have a lot to say at the mo and I'm getting stuff done. Love seeing the progression of the painting, very cool!
The left one is wonderful, I wish I had the money to buy it! I love the tail and mouth details to the left and the right!
hi Andrea,
i popped over here because your profile Photo intrigued me...and then checking out some of your posts i saw your photo, and you look familiar, i suggested to Ian that it is probably because i have been going to the Harrison Festival every year for the past 17 years, so it is highly likely that i have seen you there.
Anyway, i found it interesting looking at the ....umm...metamorphisis...(can i call it that?) of your paintings, and of course the finished product is fabulous...

Barbara: Apparently the combination works and the show is doing well for Susan.
Val: Good for you getting out and enjoying yourself -- even if it is work! :) I'll be scarce soon myself when August arrives.
Ilva: Thanks, you're very kind, and the best thing is that those details wrap around the sides as I continue the paintings 'round the corner!
Dragonflyfilly: Uh-oh -- the painting's not finished! :) Yes, we're always at Harrison during the Festival, every five years. Maybe I've seen you, too!
It is so nice to see all the art for Summer Splendor. They really pull me in.
i love the colors and tones in the second piece.
it's an ongoing better and best, andrea.
:)
I love the fish, Andrea. I'm a fool for real-life tropical fish, and your rendering of such is absolutely enchanting. You are so very good, and on my list of things I want to do in this lifetime is to see some of your work displayed. I think you said you had some at a gallery in Sidney, if I'm not mistaken. If so, I will definitely check it out.
Cheers,
Ian
What a wonderful sense of symbolism and the mystical.
