woe is me

The hard drive on my laptop packed it in late Wednesday and I have been unable to access my regular email, scan artwork, upload photos, etc. since then. There's a new drive (twice as big and yes, size matters) coming. In spite of its almost constant use for four years (it's my husband's business cast-off) it's a workhorse (an IBM ThinkPad) and though it's not a Mac, I lubs it anyway. How pathetic am I?

Oh dear...if you can't get to email, here is my request...are you up for (yet another!) art tag plus 7 personal facts? Say no if you don't want to do this, but Vivienne tagged me and I have to pass it around. To artists.
Sorry about the dead workhorse. Not a Mafia connection, I hope!

It's amazing how computers are embedded into our lives and yet the other day I read that a segment of society has no need for computers or cell phones. I probably don't need them either when I retire.

Ohhh, bummer. I can feel your pain, my computer crashed last fall and I felt a little lost. We have others around the house, but it's just not the same.

But, nothing else is a Mac, alas. I had to give up my ancient (albeit with a few upgrades) 1994 Mac a year ago. I love my little Acer laptop, but it still ain't a Mac.

Yikes. I hope you haven't lost your data too. This piece is a beauty. Is it new? Are you finding you have more time for painting with your computer down?
