I decided to try chocolate-coloured Canson Mi-Teintes drawing paper for this idea and like the subtler results and the way the texture of the paper is enhanced. It's over at Etsy.
Very nice Andrea ! - I'm really enjoying your work in my home although, it's yet to be framed like the many other pieces I have from trades and purchases. However, it can be interesting having pieces here and there, just leaning or sitting.
Sheri: Thanks and your home is already great looking (from the photos) -- but go ahead and hang all that work up!
Andrea, Jamie and Joyce: Just last night I read a design article about birds being the latest thing in decorating/home items. I should jump on that bandwagon with these little guys.
CSL, Toni & Bibi: Yes, I'm thinking I need to get more of that paper. I have had it awhile -- just needed to find the right thing for it.
Cynthia: It occurs to me that these cats are more in the realm of design than art. It's got me thinking...
Terramia: And that might be what I should call this series: Cat Fish Bird. I'm on that next!
HE: Yay! Someone picked up on the delectable chocolate theme! :)
Loved this cat and enhanced textural background is good. Fish - I am going fishing...lol...this weekend..well actually it would be waterrafting. Just saw a post on chitty's blog - just saw the reference of waterrafting there -lol.. whacky...!

I love this one Andrea. Those birds are so cute!
Andrea those birds are too cute for words!
PS - I want to learn to relax like Zulu! ;)
You can almost feel the textire of that one. I like it. And that mask slide-show thingy below is really cool.
Cat, fish, bird... I am lovin' it!!! Your work is amazing!
Thanks for stopping by my blog...
The cat drawings are too cool. These would also make nice reproduction prints.
Excellent, as usual! Love the texture on this.
Yes it doesn't look as harsh. Looks great. Hmmm I can picture some of your pieces on red! Go for the colors.
Looks good enough to eat!
CHOCOLATE mmmmmm!
love, love it, Andrea. That bird image is something I've been drawn to lately. And cat... that goes without saying.

My! It is meticulous. I love the border and the background, all those strokes.

Those birds look quite happy being in the company of the cat. So sending me the cat to get rid of my mice probably won't work.
