art cards
A couple of days ago I discovered a widget on a blog sidebar for this new made-to-order greeting card company. I was immediately intrigued and had to try setting up shop for myself using some of my digital photography and monochrome-on-black drawings. The length x width ratio is part of the reason for this; anything outside a 21-15 ratio becomes distorted as the cards are one size/full bleed. I'm not really impressed with the widget so haven't added it yet ... still thinking on that one. Do drop by and take a look.

I like your images on the greeting card site, however, the little blurb in the bottom right corner where it says, "if you like this, you'll like these" - EEEEEEK! I see no relationship - it seems just plain weird that they've paired those images with yours.
I agree with barbara...just seems odd the pairing, and I'm not thinking we saw the same images as each other either...but your work is a stand alone kind of thing...I can tell you I wouldn't want to have to set my cards next to your cards on a shelf and watch to see who sold more...it would be bad for my fragile ego...(I jest...sorta) but I do like your cards, bunches. Your Banner is hard to read though (the art cards one) bcause of the dark letters...just fyi.
Andrea I love the cards! As for Gaelic football, I think I prefer that to US football where the men's muscles and sometimes fat are padded and covered.
Barbara: Even weirder is the fact that I can't see it! If anyone can email me a page of what they see so I can check out "if you like this..." I'd appreciate it.
HMBT: More weirdness. The banner is quite legible to me. Maybe it's different monitor calibrations? I'm wondering if I'm in the twilight zone now.
Ces: Now I know what you're looking at! :)
You know what...I really liked it and to me the card thingamabob is a perfect-fit-alter-logical-medium-transference and a 'natural' application for your groovy pictures.
You know what would be cool?
If you let me write zany, madcap, one liners for atleast a few of them?
HUH HUH CAN I CAN I!?
Just kidding you know I dig you! Huh?
Excuse me I'm a what?
What do you mean you're not the least little bit interested?
Are you talkin' to me?
FINE, I'll just make my own stupid cards then!
Lovely cards,Andrea. And yes, it would be a "good" idea to let H.E. loose with some of his zany captions ;o)
HE: These are called ART CARDS not goofy-cartoons-with-loser-doofus-saying-lame-things-for-my-stupid-brother's-birthday cards. Geddit? But if you buy a few I'll let you caption anything you like, even my dog.
Cream: How 'bout I add recipes insetad. Whatcha got?
Looks interesting ! I think I need to have more note cards printed up soon, these are fun to have on hand at Exhibitions etc.
