old dog

It was 15 years ago today that I brought four-month-old Zoe home from the shelter. She doesn't look a day over 13, does she? :) Photo taken but moments ago.

Kyknoord said it first -- but I'm curious too..

And she looks wonderfully fluffy.

Good for you, bringing her home from a shelter. To bad more people don't make this there first stop instead of the puppy farms. We have two from the shelter.

Andrea: She looks like a snuggler but she's not a very touchy-feely dog. Far too business like, protecting home and hearth!

Tiffinix: I think she has a pretty good chance of making 16. Only 8 months to go!

Kyknoord & Caroline: Old dog, no new tricks for years I'm afraid. Same old tricks (bite the postman).

Carla: She's mostly fur, but she is also more portly than she needs to be. The only way to take it off is to starve her but she loves her grub too much for that. When all you do is sleep all day, dinnertime is the highlight of the day!

Bookboy: We have two of those, too, and a cat.

Albina: She was once a ton of fun, but she's been old for along time now and since she's had thousands of dollars of surgery on her hind legs (ACL surgeries on both knees) she can barely manage the stairs, so is competely sedentary now.

She's very cute! I love seeing pets from shelters join happy families. I think the traditional 15th anniversary gift is crystal... probably lost on her!
