float
longnose gars
I've been working on a painting that would be perfect for this week's Illustration Friday theme, but I can see now that I won't finish it until the week is long over, so grabbed something from my archives. This is actually quite a large painting.

you don't see how beautiful it is until you download the large size..

and it is!
Anything with fish in it will grab my attention - floating pike(?) who would've thunk it. Great piece.

Oops, should put my reading glasses, what was I thinking with pike when they are indeed gar. Agree with vf4m, looks better in the the larger photo.

The color and detail on the fish really popped out when I looked at the large image...I love the light on their bodies. The fish have a real feeling of floating/swimming in water... This is beautiful, Andrea.
I just realised how dark this painting looks on my blog. It's not so dark in real life -- bad photo. I hate it when I see a flaw that I didn't notice before. But you're right -- "size matters". :) Thanks!
Went to the big picture and the fish really pop. Lovely color and composition
Blasted by 3D floating colour! This is great, love the pink shimmering outlines and it's a MUST to see the largest image :)
Wonderful. This is really a work of quality in concept, design and execution.
This is really wild and a little trippy. Great illo! *G*
Great Painting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
....every Thursday I am devoting to eating "healthier" just to remember to love life and what I have...
Last Thursday was a fast...This.... the fruit. I cannot believe people really follow a pure diet like this....it was fun, but not for me. Trader Joes is great! Check it out.
