poise

I've had nothing to write about and no time to make a drawing from this cool photo (below) I took of a pussywillow going to seed, but after a half hour of noodling in Photoshop I thought the above image would fit the Illustration Friday theme nicely this week.

I love your noodled version!

Has an animal quality that the original lacks.

Love it -- I thought it was an animal too until I saw the actual photo.

Gorgeous...

So my first thoughts were of a woman, maybe a ballerina or a really fit exerciser, bending down to touch her right toe.

Or a blue heron or some kind of crane dipping its beak down to snatch a fish or a bug.

Regardless...I probably never would have guessed it was a pussy willow going to seed.

That's weeks away for us, sigh...

Hi Andrea, please would you tell us which Photoshop tool you used to do this? Filter > Noodle? It looks fab.

Thanks, alol. Justin: I can't really remember! I cropped it, brought down saturation and used the posterize filter, but not sure what else I did. Hope that helps.
