So those are siskins. I had a bird on the birdtable the other day I couldn't identify, and I thought it might be a siskin - maybe it was. I started using niger seed this year too. I have a flock of goldfinches that absolutely love it.
nope, I didn't know pine siskins either, but now that I see them, I know it isn't for the first time. My thistle feeder is mobbed by goldfinches. no complaint, you understand, I adore them.

Ha! Very good. Started my day with smile. :)
Donn: Just keep the disco music to a minimum please...
Tom909: Still waiting for the finches though I did see a purple finch pair in the autumn.
Angela: Because of me or Donn? :) (Just looking at Donna's comment. "You may now speak amongst yourselves.")
You.
Oh, I haven't seen pine siskins in SO long! I had them at my feeder ONE winter in Arkansas, that's it.
I don't think we have these, but we have some finches who are similar.
Angela: No YOU. :)
Kiki: Mine speak with a southern accent! (Jealous much?)
Citizen: It's a finch feeder but do I ever see finches? No-o-o-o-o.
