blogpology

This is my apology post. I really enjoy blogging but I know the quality of my posts has suffered in the past six months or so, and though I can offer a veritable cornucopia of theories, I can't quite put my finger on the reason. I do know that regular posting creates a sort of receptive mindset; like every other muscle bloggimus maximus needs exercise to perform at its peak, but lately it's been parked on the sofa, eating bonbons and watching Oprah. Even the connecting tissue, commentor magnus, has been skipping its regular workouts. So bear with me as there are usually several pictures or links to post each week, whether I'm feeling like writing or not. During this intermission I give you the above video. If you like that one there's more here.

I know how you feel! This was a tough summer, but it's finally working out. Still I'm behind on so many things that blogging just keeps getting put on the back burner. I notice that I'm not the only one, so here is to a better fall, maybe the change of seasons will get me more inspired.
I'm going to go check out the video you have posted.

What a cool video!

As for your blogfunk - I'm sure every blogger feels the same at some point in their history. I know I do. And I've also noticed that it seems to go hand-in-hand with irregular postings - if I start to get lazy, I start to lose enthusiasm. Or vice-versa.

Surrealistically intriguing in a creepy way.
Please, my talented friend, don't apologize for not blogging regularly. But, please also come by periodically. I like my connection with you and your talents.

god that video was so creepy and cool, thanks for sharing. I agree with the other comments, blogging funk, well its a cycle. I would have to think it a rare bird indeed that doesn't go through one.

Heather: I wish I could claim responsibility but most of them come from my secret source!

Ldahl: You really had it rough in Kansas I hear. I refuse to complain about the rain here again!

Alda: the catch-22 -- exactly. I know that when I write a good post then I'm far more likely to write a good one in the next couple of days. If I don't then I seem to lose the thread.

HMBT: Thanks -- and I hate to be a bore so usually avoid myself as a topic!

Ian: Creepy but totally fascinating was how I viewed it, too. And I will always be lurking. I'm far too addicted to do more than fall off the wagon for periods of time. (And yours is a blog that is always enjoyable.)

Daisies and Jafabrit: You mean I'm normal? (Can bloggers actually be 'normal'?) You both have as much or more blog mileage as me so I'll take your word for it.

What is this? True confessions? You told me you were going to paint. OH, I see...you're painting a picture of Oprah eating bonbons.
(Go on - I dare you!)

Bibi: Maybe it's a pile of bonbons shaped like heads...?

Dinah: I'll paint as many bonbons in all shapes and sizes as you require. Just don't make me paint Oprah (nothing against Oprah).

KJ: If my artwork offended your senses *then* I might feel a bit put off, but KJ my dear, I do believe that you *are* entitled to your own opinion (and love it when you exercise it)! It may be creepy and even mildly disgusting in some parts but I didn't see GWB or any of his cronies and supporters in the video so I'm fine with it. :)

Okay, normally, I give a polite, lol or maybe even a LOL, but this time your video find got a WhaAhAAAAHAAardree har harr Whahaaireallyenjoyedthisposthardeharhar!

I especially liked my new vocab terms, ie. bloggimus maximus and commentor magnus which received another outrageous outburst. I can relate when I'm reduced to talking about ceramic sludge.

Jan: Maybe we're just getting old... (NO!NO!)

Cynthia: Personally, I like the visual of bloggimus maximus parked on the sofa watching Oprah... :)

Tori: Thanks for the great support. When I'm not being brilliant (inside my own head mostly) I feel like such a ... well... non-starter...
