painting houses

I have another exhibition coming up in October. I should be painting houses like this for the show:

Instead I've been painting houses like this:

This is my summer household project, started September 5th. Me? Procrastinate?

andrea, you have my total sympathy, having spent some part of the weekend color washing a fireplace (aka the back porch becoming cuban).

i love this yellow house by the way. i always smile when i see it.

Yep, the yellow house seems to really have light and air. We had a hail storm in April and we'll be getting our new roof 2 1/2 weeks from now, then we'll have to repaint. It just never ends:)
At least the Yellow house will never have to be reroofed or repainted, it just sits there, smiling and perfect.

That's it! that is my favourite small art piece you've ever done. That house. I love that one.

That's what I like about you, Andrea. You think big.

There's always so much to do around a house, and I too haven't tackled any of my summer projects. Well, at least you have some glorious sunshine to make this chore more pleasant:>

Congrats on your upcoming show ! :) I ripped fairly new carpeting off my basement stairs { it wasn't a good carpeting for high traffic because it stains easily } and painted the pine boards in a light/med grey, glossy oil paint this Summer, fun stuff ! I'm happy I did it although, the kitty was very confused ! :)

Lovely house that...bodes well for the exhibition even if you are procrastinating and doing 'useless' things like household projects.

That yellow house is homey and inviting, as I'm sure your REAL house is looking good about now.

And innocently, I must say how lovely your blond hair looks braided like that in the warm sunlight.

Unfortunately, as of today, the warm sunlight (and therefore the household projects :) have passed. *sigh* ~ I think summer's over...
