safe

I haven't participated in Illustration Friday for a few weeks so decided that for today's topic I'd google the word and then do a 5-10 minute sketch of the first image that came up. Voila: safe.

i like the crooked shape and playful use of lines and shapes! When you look at it from an abstract view it becomes many things! Very cool and love the limited palette too!!!

The safe looks as if it's moving, perhaps full of things that have a life of their own! I love your white on black drawings that really show off the patterns. I also like the way you've placed the safe breaking through the border...it's a self-cracking safe!

Cute! Nice scratchboard-- you could tile it and make an Andy warhol-kinda batik cloth or something!

5-10 minutes--Yikes! This is beautiful design--so exciting to view. I love the feeling of movement and texture. I've been trying to figure out how it's done? Is it white acrylic on black background or did you do it digitally? I really like it a lot and appreciate your sharing your process of giving your 10 minutes to take the first google image you get. Great idea!

5-10 minutes? sigh...

This is great, good composition breaking out of the frame, very nice cross-hatching and distortions. I've been "forcing" myself to work fast as well, good things can come from it.
