holiday fun stuff

The staff at Vancouver's Diane Farris Gallery have put together this holiday fun page with artists and art lovers in mind. I especially like giving Mona Lisa an extreme makeover. Zappa likes Pablo's video picks.

Thanks a lot Andrea for this wonderful Christmas gift. I went to see a few videos this morning (just a few, have to go to work). I just saw Mona Lisa face lift and the talking parrot and the talking dogs... I laughted soooo much that my eyes were all watery... Gee. I'll come back for more this afternoon, after work. Thanks again and thanks to your friends at the Gallery. Have a nice day.MP

Ouuuuuh, I am so posting a picture of my Christmas Tree!!! What is this a picture of? Holly? A wreath? It would make a great holiday greeting card. I was wondering about all the words that are links in your blog posts. Do you insert all those or is it a new form of advertising by Google? Something like it occurred on my blog and then it just mysteriously disappeared. I thought it distracted from the content a little.

I took the photo just after we moved into this house with my old SLR (we have a giant holly tree in our backyard), and just enhanced it last night with Photoshop's "sponge" feature. As for the links, they're my fault I'm afraid. But you're right about the distractdedness of linking alot of words -- I'll try and keep it to a minimum.

What fun Andrea.... and I love links - that's what hypertext is all about!

(I find if I have underline turned off in my browser I don't find links distracting at all)

I love the manipulated image, Zappa too; but, the real find for me is Angela Grossman's "Alpha Girls" Series at your link to the Diane Ferris Gallery. I know that linking is an annoyance to some, however, the verdict is in: blogs that include lots of highlighted links get a lot more hits and, hopefully, a lot more readers. After all, one doesn't need to follow the links should they find them annoying. Hmmm, perhaps a future post over at my place could be a link-by-link intro to that 12-step program we both need! :D
