Isn't it wild? I took a look at the wall and my heart sank, but couldn't believe the result. The walls would actually be good for my early landscapes because I used purple a lot in shadows -- almost as a neutral colour. And doesn't it create the perfect atmosphere for a jazz lounge?
Totally off topic here - but I find I am once again looking north of the border to Canada now that I'm back in school. I'm writing a paper for landscape ecology dealing with pesticides in the environment and learned that Vancouver along with other cities in Canada have banned the use of "aesthetic pesticides". True? And if so, how was the by-law received and enforced? If you have the time, shoot an email to cynthia at coloradoartstudio.com - totally understand if you're too busy too.
Your paintings look amazing Andrea! I bet they pop even more at night when the lights are dimmed & the fire is lit. I am looking forward to popping in to see them live :)

I seriously think I need a purple wall in my house full of your art!! Maybe I need to put that on my bucket list. :-)
Oh my gosh, those look fantastic.
Perfect! I agree with all the purple comments too. It's like they painted their walls with your art in mind.
Your work looks awesome against the purple walls! The piano bar is lucky to have your work to show.
YOur work looks just marvellous and I agree with everyone else about the purple. One of my favourite colours. I love your fish, want to see more.
Thanks, everyon. Isn't the hanging system interesteing? Long, straight "s" hooks of various lengths that hang from a metal runner.

That looks so inviting. And the purple really works, as others have said.
A mazing! Looks fab, eh?
hey that looks absolutely fabulous! I'd really REALLY love to visit!
Hmmm... how come I get more comments when I say NOTHING..? Is that a grand cosmic hint I wonder?
