anatomy lesson

This is awesomely amazing.

Painting discovery: to make a stunning blue, mix dioxazine violet with pthalo blue.
I'm not actually an axe murderer; this is a very old drawing I did of a dismantled mannequin, not a disembowelled person. I added it to show you how not to draw from life, especially after you've seen the above life drawing lesson.

I kinda like the manequin picture, has as interesting composition.

Now the drawing link. WOW! That was so amazing, I watched it three times, its really grand.

Now I just have to find a use for a brilliant blue.

Val and Brock: I also add a little iridescent white to it to make it a little brighter and more luminous. I have had to look at the video at least 3 times now myself.

Sheri: Thanks. I find it hard to post my older/lamer work, but it seemed like an appropriate accompaniment to this video clip.

so many ways this could grow

how often do we

in origianl expression
and create things in our own image

Ever since I saw a skeleton mannequin I've wanted one - but the one I saw was £700... and who would want a worse one...

Congratulations on selling the picture below - I was wondering about offering to buy it myself but I've been tied up with other things and its now too late - wah!
